Multispecies Care Practice in times of Covid-19
Window Treatments are mutlispecies care practices that are developed in a time of being in quarantine together with the more-than-human-kin. I developed the practice together with the collective I co-founded the EPA (Environmental Performance Agency) .
What means living during the time of isolation for our bodies? For me, for us, of my neighbors humans and more-than-human-beings. The streets are quieter. The color in this urban city are so crisp, your eyes can see more then ever not clouded from a grey air dust. Your ears are not overstimulated with so much man-made construction noise you are able to hear the morning bird that passes your window. You look out the window down to the sidewalk. A yellow flower close to the wall on the sidewalk calls you, we change some breathes together, our dance conversation begun.
Can this time be a time to meet each other and ask ourselves: How do we – re-value what care means for all living beings? And with this somatic movement practice we can find an unimaginable kind of being together. This Protocols that we developed extended through the four season and you can find the archive at the Multispecies Care Survey Website and please add your own experience to it. The pandemic is not over nor the question How can our bodies and mind be part of meeting the more- than-human kin during time of isolation.
